HAPPY EASTER!!

 HAPPY EASTER!  We celebrate that JESUS HAS RISEN!

As a whole family, we got gussied up in our Sunday best, and headed to church.  Sidenote... and totally sounding like a Boomer here, but we have a high of 41°.  Hallelujah!

Before we left, Ramsey found a letter that the Easter Bunny had written.  As per usual, EB had concocted a scavenger hunt.   

As to not be tardy for church, Ramsey only read it.  Completing the scavenger hunt would have to wait until we were home from our festivities!

After church services, we picked Nana Karen up from her apartment and headed to Tokyo Steakhouse, everyone's favorite!

The chef's flinging knives and fireballs were entertaining, as always.  Nana K thought the flames were getting a little too close and was worried about her hair catching afire!  HA!

While waiting for the food, Eric got Ramsey to try a lime slice for the first time.  A new first food for the kiddo.  He winced and puckered and I don't think he'll be eating plain lime slices again anytime soon.

Time to head home for some pics and scavenger hunt fun.  And... change clothes!

I put bunny ears on Eric, but he refused to look up and smile.

The scavenger hunt took Ramsey all around the house.  Connor tapped out of the scavenger hunt this year.

The clues took him to the massage chair.... the treadmill....

 Happy Easter!!  Jesus has risen!

Ramsey and I were the first ones up on Sunday morning for church.  While Ramsey was eating breakfast, he couldn't help but find a few scattered Easter eggs throughout the house.  I reminded him that he had to wait until we got back from church and lunch - and for Connor!  It was difficult, but he made it.

We picked up Nana K from her apartment and went to Easter church celebration.  

Afterwards, we went downtown to a new place on Main Street to have Easter brunch.

It was a bit unconventional, but it had been such a chaotic week, I was thankful to not have to cook or do dishes.   And, we had plans to get back home to try to get the dock in the lake (the WIND has been horrendous this entire month).

When we returned home, the boys found the letter from Easter Bunny Harry.  

Once again, he'd set up a scavenger hunt for the boys.  And, once again, it was too cold and windy to have any outside hunting, so it was all indoors.  

Each clue was found in funny little places.  And, apparently when Harry was in the pantry, he about got buried.  I guess it's time to clean out the pantry.

The last clue got them to the office, where the boys found their baskets full of candy and presents.

Connor received only items to rot the teeth (and good thing he still has a great metabolism).   Ramsey received a Geode kit and two books from the Dog Man series (in addition to some sugary goodies).

Late Family Easter #2 - Up North

 We had counted the months it'd been since we had been to Nana Vicki and Bumpa's house.  It had been since Christmas 2019.  CRAZY!

We didn't really consider this an Easter celebration, per se, but we hadn't been together as a big group/family for FAR too long.   And... ham was on the menu, so.... it's automatically considered Easter.  Just sayin.

The drive up was "interesting".  For the first 45 minutes, Jango, whined most of the time.  He did seem to like watching the boys play their games though.

When we arrived, I was happy to see everyone... and get to hug everyone!  It was so good to have so many of us together in the house again.

Jango tried to make friends with Nana and Bumpa's dogs.  It didn't go so well!! ha!   The older doggies just weren't into playing with a newbit pup.  Jango was relentless most of the time.  He gave up intermittently.

It was strange to realize how the kids have grown.  Here's Connor... at 19.  And... Sadie - she's 18!

And "Little Isaac" is not so little anymore and is 15!  

Isaac got along with Jango rather well also.  :-)

Isaac was still the target of Ramsey's attention.  Airplane rides and tickle fights were plentiful.  Ramsey loves his cousins so much.  :-)

Connor showed off his push-up and planking with Ramsey on his back.  An extra 50 lbs on your back is quite a load.

I had to laugh at this view that I had.  After a big supper, everyone, to include the dogs, were pooped.

A trip up North wouldn't be a trip without getting a picture of the kids all together in front of the [now new] fireplace.
