Storybook Land & Mini Golf Day

Storybook Land is sich a wonderful local treasure.  Ramsey is 9... and, in a few years, he won't probably give a rip about going to this gem with his Momma and Daddy.  So for now, each trip must be savored!

It was a little toasty today, but a trip on the train would give us a bit of a breeze.

Ramsey wanted to run around on the playsets.

He met a little gal at one of the areas to hang out with for a bit.

And, we all were game to play some putt putt.

Eric WAS winning for a while. He bombed a few, so it put Ramsey in the lead.  I'm pretty sure I was mostly dead last!   We didn't keep score.
Ramsey had a "face slap moment" when he JUST barely missed a crazy tough hole-in-one.
Storybook Land and Thunder Road... you never disappoint.

Some Funky Storms

Driving home from town tonight, the skies were freaky looking.  I admit I sped home to try to miss the insuing chaos.   I have a [what I find to be a very rational] fear of tornadoes; they scare the hell out of me.

After the storm blew by and the sun started the set, the sunset skies were phenomenal - truly breathtaking!

Happy Tin Anniversary

Together since 2008, married in 2013.  Today, we celebrate our "tin" wedding anniversary.  ...Sounds a little chintzy (the "tin" part). I'm going to have to research why ten years is such a mealy milestone.  But, really, we have 15 years thus far, with many more to go.

Soooooo.... to celebrate, let's just say I was ADAMANT that, on our 10th anniversary, we would be taking the boat to the resort to eat this evening.  It was due to storm like mad.  Did I care?  Yes and no. We could beat it... we could work around it.  Eric contended we could just take the truck.  Taking the truck was not romantic at all.  I don't often push until I get "my way".  But, tonight, I got my way.  hehe

On the way to the resort, it started to rain... kind of a sprinkle.  We got a little wet.  T'oopsies. 😁
Dear husband wasn't exactly impressed.  He still loves me, so it's ok. !
While we were having supper, it started to DOWNPOUR.   I will say, it was a tiny bit embarrassing that WE had done this.  😁😉  But, by the time we were ready to leave, it had stopped.  The pontoon was a little wet.  So what.
The post-storm skies were gorgeous.  More weather was coming, but we had a wonderful window of opportunity and made it home in time.
Happy Anniversary, babe!  Cheers to many more years.

Sunset Stroll

Yes, yes, another blog post about our walks.  I can't help it.  They're enjoyable, sometimes euphoric, and we seem to find something new every time we venture out!

Ramsey has fun, the dog gets exercise (runs like a madman), and I find peace and solace after hectic days, hunched over a desk.

Finding the calm is imperative to one's well-being.
It's a little piece of heaven.

Jango Puppy

Just a rando post about the dog.  Have I lost all marbles?  Perhaps.

This is actually how he sleeps.  Not kidding.
Cuddle time.

.In the midst of a home renovation MESS, we had some sweet moments.
..A little video Connor made.
This is me... trying to sleep.  I'm lucky he wasn't laying on my back (as per usual).
LOVES movies or TV shows with dogs, white animals (polar bears, wolves, unicorns).

He also loves football.  Jango's favorite movie is White Fang (he'll sit through the ENTIRE movie).  If he isn't jumping, barking, and going nuts watching what's on the screen, he's watching intently.
Loves the pontoon.
...gonna need to wash that blanket.
A boy and his dog. ❤️

Soldier Boy

Just a little obsessed.
Lofty goals of West Point, career military, and Delta Force.

That's all.
