Play Time

This summer, we finally met the little girls that live a few houses down.  One little girl (Raelyn) is six months (and a grade) older than Ramsey.  The other (Ashton) is two years older.  They're sweet adorable little girls!   Occasionally Ramsey and Raelyn play together and have become quick buddies in a short amount of time.

Two days after Riggsy passed, Raelyn and her Dad knocked on our door.  Raelyn was holding a sack and a card with Ramsey's name on it.   Ramsey opened the sack and found the sweetest squishiest little stuffed puppy.  And, the card was a very endearing sympathy card about losing a pet.   To say that my cup runneth over was an understatement.   She LOVED Riggsy so much (was obsessed with playing with him) and for her to think of Ramsey in his time of sadness... well, I just couldn't believe the kindness and thoughtfulness.

We asked if Raelyn could stay a while to play, so she did.  When the kids play together, they are always into EVERYTHING and bounce around from one game or set of toys to another.  :-)   They started downstairs, then meandered upstairs where they begged to dissolve some Beaker Creatures Reactor Pods.
So, we can count this as summer home-schooling/science projects.  The kids had fun, everything got wet, and they found some cute little critter toys in the process.
Sidenote: Ramsey added his new plush friend (who he endearingly named "Bestie") to his clan of extra special stuffed animals that he sleeps with.  Bestie is in the pack, right alongside the yellow lab "Riggsy" that he received as a Christmas gift from Santa.
