Day 2: Outside Day Fun & Nighttime Fireworks

The mornings at the cabin are typically quite mellow and low-key (ah, this is why vacations are SO nice!).
The kids play....
Sadie "The Pet Whisperer" snuggles all of the puppies.
She somehow manages the absolute unimaginable: getting all three dogs to sit together (Riggs is kind of the odd dog out among the two older canines).
And then, eventually everyone starts to do their own thing.
On Day 2, Ramsey and I accompanied Nana to the grocery store and the local discount store.
Ramsey was very amused, getting to maneuver about in the fancy car cart.
Among many things, the big kids lit off some waterproof firecrackers.
Went tubing....
  Wiped out, of course...
 Swam with Riggsy....
 jumped on the water trampoline...

And then went on the paddle boat.
Eric, Bumpa, and Uncle Troy went fishing.

While we were hanging out on the deck, Ramsey grabbed his bubble gun and decided he was going to attack Auntie Sarah, who was merely kicking back and reading a book in the swing.
He was rather relentless with his task!
At one point, Auntie Sarah figured she'd give him back some of his own medicine, grabbing the bubble gun and firing a counterattack!
Why the earphones, you ask?  Ramsey hates loud noises.  He was wearing them when the kids were lighting off their noisy mini explosives.
The two summertime neighbor kids came over too, to visit.  Ramsey was showing Greyson how to use the spinner.
And then the two boys and Hadley (Ramsey's new "girlfriend") decided to play hide & seek.... in the [super hairy and wickedly smelly] dog kennel.  Blech!
Before night fell, Isaac and Connor had some "boy time", fishing from the back of Bumpa's pontoon.
When darkness finally came, we were anxious to see the nighttime explosives.   The neighbor across the lake puts on a terrific show every year.   This year, the display was on July 2nd (Sunday).  Instead of taking the pontoon way up north to The Crossing to watch fireworks, we all just sat back in our chairs and watched the view from the deck.
The rest of the crew watched from by the fire pit, lakeside.
Ramsey wasn't afraid of the fireworks this year.  They were still loud, but he watched until nearly the very end.
