Riding in Style

Welp... we finally did it.  Something we had talked about doing for years finally came to fruition.

Eric's very nice and still well-running 1982 Starcraft boat was upgraded to a new Bennington pontoon (with every fishing package add-on possible).   Thank you Starcraft, for [most] always being very reliable.  You were a good boat.

We had found it online one day, went to the dealership the next, and cut a deal the same day.   A few days later, Eric hopped in the truck and dropped off the boat, drove on a few hours farther south to deliver furniture and a large TV to Connor's new dorm room, then turned around and picked up the pontoon on the way home.  Long day!

The lake levels were SO LOW this year, we weren't able to get the boat on the lift and enjoy the lake.  While others would troll by on their pontoons and such, we'd watch from the deck or the yard.   We've ordered more sections of dock to ensure we have better depth next year, plus a new pontoon lift will be needed by Spring.
We're looking forward to enjoying fishing and putzing around the lake in the future.  ...hoping to get it on the water in the next few days!
