What To Do On Christmas Break?

This year, the boys got TWO full weeks of Christmas vacation.  Much of the time, Connor was at his Mom's.
So... WHAT's a little Ramsey to do during that time??
Draw all over Mommy's plotted floor plans....
(I gave him his own copy, as he loves to do this.)
Play Kindle and show off his new hoodie from Nana Vicki and Bumpa.
Concoct wicked crazy light sabers.
Go outside and play in the snow with Daddy!!!
We had beautiful frosty days that made the trees incredibly gorgeous!
Have snowball fights!
Play with sticker and activity books (Christmas gifts).
Play with STEM toys, received for Christmas!
Pretend to be a mad scientist!
Pose for your mother because she's a crazy photo nut and you're only little for a short time.
Read scientific details about various critters found inside dissolvable orbs from aforementioned STEM gifts.
Build a gingerbread house.
Realize said gingerbread house is a lot more work than you remember... so eating it is much more fun and just cut to the chase.
Chill.

Merry Christmas!

On Christmas Eve, Connor left us early (insert sad face), but the rest of us cleaned up for 5:00 church to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
Once we came home, it was rather uneventful and calm, which was A-OK.
Ramsey needed to get to bed.  After all, he's aware that if a child wakes up or sees Santa, they will be forever on the "Naughty List" and Santa will not visit their house ever again.
We put out the freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies (the frosted sugar Christmas cookies had somehow managed to disappear much too quickly - shocker!) and some cold milk in a Star Wars glass with a fun curly straw (Santa would like it very much, Ramsey thought).
Then... time to go to bed and dream of dancing sugarplums.
But... not without sneaking some cookies from Santa's stash first!!!
The next morning, Ramsey was chomping at the bit to see what Santa had brought us (er, HIM)!
He tore into his presents and was pleased to find some wonderful things.
He got ANOTHER build-a-blade light saber, some magnetic blocks, bath bombs, and the toy yellow lab, "just like his dog, Riggsy".   Yup, Santa listened!  :-)
After a while, it was time to play with Christmas toys.
Everyone took their turns with the Oculus Quest and hand their minds blown!

Beanboozled!

Nana loves jelly beans.  Ramsey loves jelly beans.   The only difference:  Ramsey was previously informed as to how the game "Beanboozled" works!
Ramsey knows that you spin the arrow and which ever color jelly bean you land on, you eat.  ...only some taste amazing and some taste awful!  "Stinky Socks" or "Tutti-Frutti"?  Who knows?!?!
Nana was "fresh meat"... totally naive... and willing to play.  (Nana is a brave lady.)
She made a lot of these kinds of faces:
And, it seemed like it was ALWAYS her turn.  Ramsey saved all the turns for Nana.  How kind of him.
I don't think I've laughed this hard in ages!  Poor Nana!!! LOL
I'm quite certain she got every disgusting jelly bean there was; "spoiled milk", "booger", "barf", "dead fish", "canned dog food".
No matter what, she just kept playing!  It took quite a while before "enough was enough"!
You're a champ, Nana.  Or, you really just wanted to find some yummy jelly beans!!

Christmas Eve Eve

We celebrated Christmas Eve a day early this year, as Connor would be at his Mom's place for the actual day.
Connor picked Nana Karen up and we all got together for the usual Christmas Eve pizza and gift-opening.
Of course, Eric waited until the very last minute to wrap his gift.  ;-)
Then Connor and Ramsey handed out the nicely-wrapped boxes and bagged presents.
 ...and let the fun begin!
"Beanboozled" jelly bean game.  Hmmm... who will be brave enough to play this with Ramsey?!?!
Ramsey got a personalized book from Great Aunt Nancy... which featured him and his puppy Riggs.  Nana read it to him right away!
And then he read it to Riggsy.
I guess the present-opening became exhausting!  ha!
(Maybe it was more like the picking-up-all-of-the-wrapping-paper that was tiring.)
 Stocking hats with LED lights!
 Then, it was play time!
Connor's "big present" was an Oculus Quest virtual realty system.
Watching the boys play for the first time was amusing.  :-)
