Christmas Crafts & Fun

Because of our recent illness (with LOSS OF TASTE AND SMELL), I had to delay the usual creation of homemade gifts.  (Seriously, that loss was strange... and awful.)

Nonetheless, my sickness was gone, but my senses still weren't great.  The usual goodies probably didn't taste or smell quite as they usually did, as I don't use a recipe... I just have an old hand-written ingredient list that has zero amounts listed.  *Cringe*

The first item made (narrowed it to only one this year, due to the situation) was sugar free Vanilla Mochaccino.
The second item was lemon buttercream scented body butter (originally requested by Eric).
Melt, mix...
Then WHIP, jar... and later decorate said jar.

Not craft-related, but I had made a roasted chicken for lunch.   We pulled out the wish bone and Ramsey got to make the wish.  The one wish he had... was to get to see Bridger soon.   He did get to see him later that day, while he and Connor played Minecraft on the X-Box and had some video chats.  So... not quite was he was hoping for (in person), but his wish technically did come true!
We also started constructing the gingerbread house that evening.  Step 1 goal was to construct the house and let it dry.   We'll have to decorate it at a different time.
Ramsey was side-tracked much of the time with the vanilla icing... that he wanted to lick, snort, and gorge himself on.
It's a good thing we're not actually going to EAT this gingerbread house!  ha!
Before bed, we decided to go to www.reindeercam.com to watch Santa and the reindeer - to see what the residents of the North Pole were up to, the day before Christmas Eve.
Santa must have been a bit shy this evening, as he was acting a bit socially awkward.  He read a book to his audience from the reindeer barn.   The reindeer were neat to see, just hanging out munching on hay.  Jango certainly liked watching it, while Ramsey played with his Star Wars guys.
