Fishing Night & Day

 So our "fishing" is really more like just taking a nice relaxing ride, while there are fishing rods with crank baits and planer boards in the water.   Once the the lines are in, it's just a matter of kicking up one's feet, chatting, soaking in the sun and nature, and enjoying each other's company.

Here's Ramsey's favorite spot (underneath the console).   

And Jango has two favorite things... and spots... He is nuts for the planer boards and YOWLS when we have to let them out.   

And, he loves it by my feet, with his head and front end laying on the front deck.  I swear, one of these days, he's going to jump into the lake!

On this particular day, I tied into a hungry Northern.  He was fun to catch!  But, we let him go (too many bones to clean).  And NO, I am in my PJ's in the picture... it's "lounge wear"! 😅😉😁

We've recently started just staying out into the evening and night-fishing.   There is even less boat traffic.   And, there's just something about listening to really cool music on the quiet water.    We're teaching Ramsey about the awesomeness of classic rock (which now, incidentally, entails the music we listened to as teenagers!).  We play "Name that Tune" and "Name the Artist" with Ramsey.  He is rocking it with his knowledge of old school hard rock and classics.  He's getting knuckles from Dad after naming repeated artists.  

Our happy place is on the lake.  Not a care in the world.
